DSLR — Protects the dignity of picture making, and of your life

Funny comment from Editorial: 5 Reasons why I haven't used my DSLR for months

On the other hand, I can't imagine going even to a grocery shop without my D3 and 70-200 lens attached on. Flashgun in my pocket too.

When something is going on, my D3 already steadily fires perfectly focused photos at 10 fps, while grandpas around me still wobble with their X100s digging thru menus, and mums interrupting important phone calls and Facebook chat and waving at the scene with iPhones randomly, forever waiting for picture to stabilise.

If someone wants to mug me, the kit becomes a serious weapon too, and flash can blind up to 12 attackers for more than 20 seconds — enough for me to tie them up and call the police.
